- Test and inspect welded joints for e.g. visible defects, correct dimensions and joint strength
- Examine joint to detect flaws using flashlight and magnifying glass
- Inspect joints for hidden cracks NDT techniques
- Perform stress tests on joints
- Determine most effective welding process
